Why we built NoticePM

Washington State has some of the most tenant-protective landlord-tenant laws in the country. That's a good thing — tenants deserve fair notice and clear process. But for property managers, the compliance burden is real.

Every jurisdiction has different notice periods. Certified mail has to be posted from within the state. Notices need to include specific language, specific calculations, and be delivered within specific windows. Miss any of it, and the rent increase doesn't stick.

We were managing over 200 units and tracking all of this in spreadsheets. Deadlines lived in calendar reminders. Certified mail tracking numbers were in email threads. There was no single source of truth, and every renewal season felt like holding our breath.
